IRAN-ISRAEL : THE STRIKING AFFAIR IS A MARKER BETWEEN BUSH AND OBAMA
The announcement that was broadcasted those past days about Bush’s denial to grant some Iran bombing authorization to Olmert is mostly like a deliberate operation of disinformation from Washington.
In this story, there is a misinforming content and also a key-word. Besides both of them go together. The disinformation concerns the capacity of Israel to strike Iranian nuclear installations and the key-word is “authorization”.
The article pretends that Israel couldn’t strike Iran because the United States didn’t give it a certain number of equipment. This story is old hat : the Americans already served it last summer. The truth is that Israel disposes of the full capacity to strike the Iranian nuclear installations but it has never been a matter to be given the US permission.
The Bush administration played beyond the imaginable limits with the threat of a military option to make the mullahs capitulate. The end of its mandate being reached, Washington wants to end this sterile affair, erase the bulky past of the neo-cons – who are renowned to be pro-Israelis – by leaving the Israelis holding the bag and presenting Bush in a favorable light as the one who turned his back to his “nasty neo-cons counselors”.
Besides as this subliminal message hasn’t been conveyed correctly by the both first articles (as they were forgotten in aid of the story), the great guru of the American diplomacy, Brzezinski, has let the Foreign Policy magazine (close to the CFR) intervene. The Foreign Policy edited an article that salutes the outgoing President’s corner change regarding the advices of the Defense Minister, Robert Gates. However the turning point didn’t come from Bush or Gates. There’s still two months ago, Israel used to evoke some attack preparation and the Bush administration let it do. As revenge, such turning point will be on the program of Obama as he is the humanist and smiling mask of Brzezinski.
Through the spreading of this “news” regarding the Bush’s authorization refusal, Brzezinski wants to inscribe this turning point not as a rupture but as continuity. This is why we find insidiously a reference to Robert Gates, Brzezinski’s trustworthy man, the key-man of Obama’s administration, and a continuity element between Bush’s administration and Obama’s administration.
